NAHL Future Prospects Tournaments for 2017-18 announced
February 7, 2017
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced the dates and registration availability for another season of Future Prospects Tournaments in 2017-18. The 2017-18 season will include two different Future Prospects Tournaments, with each event showcasing Tier I teams in 18U, 16U, 14U and 13U levels from across the country.
"The North American Hockey League Future Prospects Tournaments (FPT) have really evolved since our first event in October of 2015,” said NAPHL Director Lucas Trombetta. “Each FPT provides teams with exposure and access to the NAHL and our family of leagues. By combining each FPT with North American Prospect Hockey League events in 2017, we are creating a high-energy, and scout-friendly hockey environment.”
In 2017, there will be two tournaments held; one in October, and one in December. Both FPT’s for the coming year will take place in Blaine, Minnesota at the Schwan Super Rink.
Friday, October 20th – Monday, October 23rd
Friday, December 1st – Monday, December 4th
Registration for both dates in the 18U, 16U, 14U and 13U divisions is now open.
“There will over a thousand bantam and midget aged players competing in a single venue over the course of four days,” said Trombetta. “Our FPTs have attracted top Bantam, Midget, and Academy teams from Alaska to Florida, California to Ontario and all regions in between. The 2017 tournaments will undoubtedly draw a highly competitive group of teams at each level.”
The intent and goal of all North American Future Prospects events is to provide the aspiring hockey player an opportunity to take part in a one-of-a-kind learning experience. Each Future Prospects Tournament is designed to maximize exposure, education and experience at grand-scale events by providing a glimpse into a true "NAHL EXPERIENCE". Learn more at http://nahlfp.com/
