Arizona, Colorado, and Pilot Mound Victorious in Future Prospects Tournament

14U: Arizona Bobcats 16U: Colorado Evolution 18U: Pilot Mound Hockey Academy

 BLAINE, Minn. - The second NAHL Future Prospects Tournament of the 2017-18 season came to a close today at the Schwan Super Rink. 


In the 14U Division, the Arizona Bobcats defeated the Omaha AAA 2-1 to win their division. Omaha’s first and only goal came from Marcus Miller 3:38 into the second period. Connor Brazil of Arizona tied the game just two minutes later. The game-winning-goal came from Alec Geddes 12:20 into the third period to win the championship game.

The Colorado Evolution 16U blanked the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 5-0 to win the division. Goaltender Adam Bublitz got the shutout saving all 19 shots on goal. Egor Chizhikov had the game-winning-goal for Colorado, his sixth of the weekend. The Denver, Co native had ten points(6G, 4A)  in five games this weekend.

 

In the 18U division, Pilot Mound Hockey Academy defeated Fountain Valley School 4-2. Zane Reynolds scored both goals for Fountain Valley. One of those goals came 7:56 into the third period to put Fountain Valley one goal behind Pilot Mound, but it wasn’t enough as Kyle Moore scored 10:33 into the period to put the Buffaloes up 4-2 to win the game.
